Children’s Ministry

Children’s energy is welcome and wanted around Servant’s Community, especially in our worship gatherings. Tactile worship tools & sensory options are always available in a corner of the sanctuary during our gatherings.

Each Sunday, we prioritize worshiping together as a whole community. After 20 min, kids joining a kid-space are dismissed by a community blessing. In order to adapt to different energy & focus styles, caregivers help kids opt into the kind of space that fits best each Sunday:

At the heart of our kid's ministry, Circle Space welcomes all children, preschool through 5th grade. This stable, classroom-like setting is designed to cultivate curiosity & wonder in children as they move through core stories from the Bible in community. Kids are invited toward creative activities before a snack & play space together.

Circle Space is a good fit for kids who enjoy stories or who benefit from a clear, consistent rhythm. New to Servant's? Start with the Circle!

Our Move Space is a flexible setting for kids who might benefit from the ease of free-choice play in a welcoming environment. While there isn't formal programming, our Move Space is staffed with 2 loving, trauma-informed volunteers.

Designed to deepen a connection with God-stories, Create Space offers young creators the chance to work with sacred stories through art.

Kids opting into Create Space are prepared to creatively engage artistic exercises for 20-30 min.

Create Space kids rejoin the community for Communion on 1st Sundays.

Nursery and calm space is available off the sanctuary. This space is not staffed but allows caregivers to be with infants and young children while being close enough to listen and participate in the life of the church.

We know each child is on their own journey and, as a community, we believe it is our joy and sacred responsibility to be the love of God along the way. In order to help our kids and their families feel welcomed, wanted, safe, and empowered to be just who they are, our children's spaces and programs are created with sensory needs and felt safety in mind. Our staff and volunteers are trained in trauma-informed care and are vetted, background checked, and trained annually.
